Bruce Johannes, Publisher of the Lane Senior Guide, was born on August 10, 1943 in Horton, Kansas, and passed away on November 16, 2023. He graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and spent his career in marketing and advertising.

Bruce moved to Eugene 20 years ago and quickly fell in love with Oregon. He was the co-owner of The Bowlin-Johannes Group with his partner, Brad Bowlin. Together, they published The Lane Senior Guide, which has been in circulation for 19 years, both online and in print.

Bruce had a deep passion for serving seniors and the senior community, devoting the last two decades of his life to creating and sustaining this publication. He was committed to providing accurate information to help seniors maintain safe and healthy lifestyles. His dedicated team of contributors will carry forward his vision and continue his legacy for years to come.
