The LCOA helps new ostomates transition to living with an ostomy (colostomy, ileostomy, urostomy, or alternative surgery) and continually supports/advocates for all ostomates. Monthly meetings are a place for learning/sharing ideas about ostomy management and how to live a normal life in society.
