Our volunteers advocate for residents in long-term care. Ombudsman volunteers serve for 4 hrs/wk, addressing complaints and concerns of residents, protecting their rights, and promoting their dignity.
Certified Ombudsman Volunteers advocate for residents in nursing homes, residential care and assisted living facilities and adult care homes. They visit with the residents, investigate, and help resolve concerns. You may also speak confidentially with a Deputy Ombudsman or leave your telephone number for assistance.
The small home repair program serves seniors who need assistance maintaining their home. Clients are responsible for supply costs needed for repairs. Will conduct an in-person assessment of project prior to accepting request and scheduling. Call call center for information.
Love for Lane County offers rides to medical appointments to seniors who can transfer independently into and out of a vehicle. No additional passengers allowed; volunteer driver will be same sex. Requests must be made 2 weeks prior to appointment.
